This unusual ceramic inhaler is known as the Oxford inhaler, though should not be confused with an anaesthetic inhaler of the same name. It bears an attractive sepia countryside print. The lid has two orifices. This is a vapour inhaler, so the medication would have been added to warm water and the vapour inhaled from a tube passing through one of the orifices.
